What does my child need to wear to participate in Physical Education class?

  1. Every child must wear clean, gym shoes. (If you are unsure, please, contact me.)
    • Clean means that the shoes do not have mud on them.
    • Gym shoes are shoes that are made for athletic movement. - Gym shoes have a flat, rubber sole and cover the foot completely. - Boat shoes, Platforms and Heelies are not considered athletic/gym shoes. - Gym shoes do not have heels or lugs, like boots.
    • My preference would be that each child has a seperate pair of shoes that he/she leaves in the classroom for use in Physical Education class.
  2. Every child must wear clothing that is appropriate for physical activity.
    • Skirts and dresses are not appropriate for physical activity. Skirts and dresses limit and hinder movement.
    • My preference would be that each child wear shorts, pants or sweats and a loose fitting shirt.
