The Farmington Public Schools has approved the following fitness tests and standards. Fitness tests are performed three times during the year; mid-late October, January and May.

  • Farmington Public Schools does not currently have a standard for this test. My standard, based on the data I currently have, is a score of -9.
  • Below are some pictures and an explanation of how to perform the Sway Under Flexibility Test.

Below is a picture of me preparing to take the Flexibility Test. The item we use for the test is called a Smart Hurdle.

To begin, one must balance on one foot for a one second count.

One then steps through the hurdle making sure not to touch the hurdle, his/her legs,the floor or moving one's feet all while maintaining balance.

One must return to a balanced position on the other side of the hurdle.

Then one must repeat the process going the other way.
